IMA Honey Trap Lure The IMA Honey Trap is a lipless minnow designed to fish as soon as it hits the water. Unlike most lures, the Honey Trap is designed to fish at any depth and will flutter horizontally if it is simply allowed to fall towards the sea bed. In blue water, the lure is cast and allowed to fall through large shoals of bait fish which are being targeted by larger predators, as if an injured bait fish has lost it's hold on the shoal and drifts off to meet it's fate as an easy picking. In the UK, this is a perfect lure for fishing in strong currents, on the edge of the drop off or in deep gullies where brief windows of opportunity to hook up require perfect presentation. The Honey Trap will fish effectively when the bass are hitting small pollack or pouting venturing out of their weed cover. The Honey Trap 95 S can be cast with ease weighing 20g and measuring 70mm. The Honey Trap also fishes well in surf when the sea is pounding. It can even be made to 'walk the dog' sub-surface or just simply amble back to you with a slow retrieve.
