The Top Water is now the rod that most people use for  boat plugging from the Tenryu range. Don't be taken in by the name and think it only for top water use, because it is a dream for using diving lures with also.

Its short length means you can hold the rod straight down whilst working the lure and the tip of the rod barely touches the water. The reel seat is positioned low, so if you are sat in a kayak it is very easy to manouver around yourself after casting.

It is 2.19m long (7'2") and casts 5 - 28g lures, and its fast action really punches the lures out there and works them a dream on the retrieve. This little rod may only weigh 138g but it really does have some grunt and will tame any bass.
