The "Deluxe Solar Panel" is designed in the format of a briefcase and when closed is easily transported in its padded waterproof case. The Solar Panel is designed to top up the charge on your boat and transmitter battery(s) during extended use, but can charge the boat from flat in approximately 7 hours. The solar panel has legs on the outside of the case which when opened out allow the panel to sit at 45 degrees and should be placed facing the sun without any obstructions. The panel functions best in direct Sunlight but will still give a reasonable output in overcast conditions. Supplied with the solar panel is a transmitter charging lead. When charging the transmitter from the solar panel do not charge it for more than 45 minutes, as you are rapid charging it, or it may start to overheat. |
